The shelter has been full since mid-February. Lots of single moms with kids working hard to do what they need to do to getting permanent housing. Check out this blog, created for people to get updated information on what's happening at the shelter:
safshugo.blogspot.com Future weeks of our annual four week commitment for volunteering at the St. Andrew's Family Shelter in Hugo will be posted here as they are set. Check your calendar and find a time that works for you! Use the links below to get to the sign-up sheet for each week.
If you are not signing up for an overnight because you need to leave before 9:15am (the end of the overnight shift), please let me, Kathy Garry, know. We can split the shift into 2 parts and get someone to cover the early morning so you can get to work on time.
Invite someone to join you for a shift! Applications, Background Check Consent forms, and Virtus training information are on the bulletin board by the north door (door 4) of the Church of St. Peter. If you prefer them electronically, email me and I can send them to you. Thanks so much for your help in providing a warm, welcoming place for the homeless!
