Vocation Chalice
The Church of Saint Peter has been given a very special privilege. We have a consecrated chalice, which holds the Precious Blood of Jesus, to be shared by our Parish Family and brought into our homes for prayer.
The chalice should be kept in a place of honor in your home, and the prayer for priests and vocations or other prayers could be offered morning and evening or some other time that works for your family.
The use of sacramentals such as holy water, the rosary, blessed salt, and medals, is very much encouraged by the Church. What a gift to have this special sacramental for prayer to express our love and gratitude for our priests - those living, deceased, and even yet to be ordained.
For more information on the use of sacramentals, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church or The Catholic Source Book.
If you would like the opportunity to bring the sacred chalice into your home, please call Lisa Engstrom at 651-982-2229 or lengstrom@stpeterfl.org.
