It is God’s desire that we each experience inner joy and freedom, especially in those areas where we have been hurt in the past. Below you will find an explanation of the St. Peter Inner Healing Prayer Ministry which is intended to assist you through prayer in attaining new levels of inner healing through the grace of God.
What it is? The St. Peter Inner Healing Prayer Ministry is a ministry of healing prayer, using the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit.
The purpose of inner healing prayer is to bring individuals to a greater degree of wholeness through the healing of memories, especially in areas from the past which resulted in deprivation, trauma, or loss. Such prayer may result in release from unhealthy choices or patterns of thought or behavior resulting from past hurts.
How it works: One of the priests or the Director of Pastoral Care at St. Peter’s will refer individuals to the inner healing prayer team. You will receive a call from a team member to set an appointment for prayer.
For More Information, Please Contact:

Scheduling Appointments Appointments can be made at a time convenient for you. You will be notified where to meet the prayer team (usually the Adoration Chapel meeting room, located in the lower level of the Annex).
The team consists of three or four members who will pray with you for up to an hour (45 minutes is the norm). If more prayer is needed, another appointment (or several) will be scheduled. Only your first name will be released to the prayer team members. The team members will hold your name and your prayer need in strict confidentiality.
The prayer team members are parishioners of St. Peter’s who have gone through training for this ministry.
During the prayer session you will be asked what you desire to be healed from. The prayer team members may ask some clarifying questions to help understand what to ask God for in prayer.
The content of your prayer session will never be written down, only "taken to the Lord" in prayer so as to maintain confidentiality for you.
Intercessors– Intercessors are parishioners who also have gone through training to assist you and the prayer team by asking God for grace and blessings through prayer and sacrifices. They will be notified to pray for inner healing for the recipients of inner healing through this beautiful ministry. The Intercessors will not be given your name, the content of your inner healing request, nor will they be present when the prayer team gathers to pray with you.
