Thank You Volunteers!
You have helped provide a welcoming place for those in need!
The family shelter has reopened with one family in place. Carrin Mahmood, at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, is now the Director of Operations for the Hugo Family Shelter. One overnight volunteer is in place to cover the 8 pm - 8 am hours. Only the family, overnight volunteer, and a daily staff person will be allowed in the house following new Covid-19 procedures.
Rather than volunteer on site, our volunteers are being asked to provide meals for the family, the overnight vounteer, and one staff person who will be at the house to dispense the meals to the family's dayroom upstairs.
A Meal Train has been set up online for volunteers to sign up for bringing a meal.
Keep up with what's happening by following our family shelter blog!
Meal Suggestions:Future weeks for volunteering at the St. Andrew's Family Shelter in Hugo will be posted here as they are set. Check your calendar and find a time that works best for you!

**If you are not signing up for an overnight shift because you need to leave before 9:15 am (the end of the overnight shift), please let Kathy Garry know. We can split the shift into 2 parts and get someone to cover the early morning so you can get to work on time.
